I like how drug addiction is presented in the show. That it's not something that one chooses just for shits and giggles. It is something that one resorts to because of traumatic experiences and because their life circumstances are far from ideal. As a person who has alcoholism running in family I really appreciate that.

Ok who's guilty of this? My hand is in the air right now because I am totally guilty of being a master level worrier. That leads me to thinking about how silly it is to worry about shit before it even happens!! And let's be honest most of the things we worry about won't ever happen. If you sit & think about all the things that could go wrong, you're in for a bad time because then you start to actively look for the negative. Don't get me wrong anxiety is a powerful thing! There are times when life just sucks & bad things are always gonna happen but worrying about those things before they actually happen is suuuuch a waste of time & energy! Ever since I've joined Young Life & explored my faith in God more, life has been better. Yes there are a few downs such as still struggling to make friends, lack of social life, worrying about school, & not having all A's but other than everything is great. I strongly believe that I am doing better in college than I thought I would, I only have one C currently the rest A's & B's in my classes, I haven't failed anything yet (Thank the Lord! 🙏) my financial needs are pretty much taken care of (besides my bank account lol), my relationship is going great (though I do miss him terribly), I still keep in touch with my best friends & family life is great. I may just have jinxed myself, or am just lucky, or this could be mere coincidence but I honestly believe that things have been better since I've joined Young Life. Again I am new and am still learning but I've been feeling extremely grateful, excited about my newfound faith and really want to continue going down this path. ❤️

Looking back at old photos, I can see that a lot has changed in my life in the past year. Some in good aspects but also the not so good. But lately, I have found that the good change has far outweighed the bad. New doors have opened up for me- college, friends, relationships, etc- and I can honestly say that for the first time in awhile, I'm finally content with where I am in my life. It has taken me many years to find that but I've finally hit a point where I'm happy. Sure, I may have lost a couple friends along the way but I guess it's a test to see who will truly ensure the test of time. I've lost a bit of confidence along the way but I have amazing people surrounding me helping me find it back again. All around I can say I'm happy and I wish I could just spread some of it to everyone haha
