Now it's here, and you’re putting out the most watts you’ve ever seen, like you’re about to launch yourself into space. And then—bam— you overtake Remco, the World Time Trial Champion at the line, like a cherry on top of it all. There’s no doubt in your mind that this is the fastest anyone’s ever climbed this mountain. For a brief moment, you’re the king of the world. And then, like some cosmic joke, Pogacar floats across the line, no aero stuff, just that half cocked smile- another day at the office.
