Emana, 35, from Nepal. Yesterday bored to hell, I went on a 4 mile walk on the beach. It was wonderful and I was able for the most part to maintain social distancing. Except for Emana, who ran up to me, entering within the 6 foot no go zone and implored me to take photos of her frolicking on the beach. She didn’t seem to know that we were supposed to keep our distance, and the last thing she should do is hand her phone to a stranger. With hesitation I complied and using her phone took some silly images of her. After I asked her if I could make her portrait with my phone. When I went to make her portrait she then asked, “why are you so close?” Epilogue: After, about 50 yards in the opposite direction of Emana I walked ankle deep into the ocean water and thoroughly scrubbed my hands with sand and very cold marine water. #portraitaday #socialdistancing (at Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B963i71hRyu/?igshid=crwcmk21s44v
