Ivor the Engine? No it's @festrail Merddin Emrys steam engine getting a drink of water at Blaenau Ffestiniog station 😀 Spent a wonderful day travelling on the @ffestiniogwelshhighland Railways. In the morning we went from Caernarfon to Beddgelert on the Welsh Highland Railway up through beautiful scenery alongside Snowdon. We had lunch in #Portmeirion then got this train from #Portmadoc up through more lovely countryside in #Snowdonia to Blaenau Ffestiniog. AND i got to fulfil a life-long ambition to ride the footplate of a steam engine on #bestrailwayintheworld! VERY happy 🚂😀🚂 Quirky #Travel Tip: you can experience the 'Golden Age of Steam' in #Wales on a tour with with @greatrailjourneys or Rail Discoveries. They organise can organise everything for you or you can have more flexible options.
