The Castle of Portel, built in the second half of the XIII Century. The works started in 1262, during the reign of Afonso III and were only finished during the era of king Dinis.
The Parish Church of Portel, consecrated to Our Lady of the Assumption (Nossa Senhora da Assunção).
For months, I hoped that I could move to Portel this year and watch this XVIII Century beauty every day. Sadly, every time I put some hope in anything, it all ends up in a huge disappointment.
