I’ve seen a post saying the Popsicle was sold out in just 15min, reminding me the drop was out. I went to re-inc website just to take a look, I checked the cut off tee, and tumbled on that : 

Seeing Tobin’s height made me wonder if I was taller than her ... And it brought me back to all my interrogations on the users of the non-metric system.

As a French person, I’m totally lost with the metrics used in the imperial system. And it’s always funny when an American or British person ask me “How tall are you ?” and I say “1,73m”. I could said “8 carrots and 2 potatoes” it would be the same. The thing is, I know 1 inch = 2,54 cm ; because I learned it during my physics courses, but I’m still incapable to spontaneously tell you my height using the imperial units. Of course, I’ve used a converter, and now I know that I’m 5 feet and 8.1102 inches (5′8″ I guess ?), but no idea how many inches there are in a foot ... Like, could someone be 5′16″ ? Is that even making sense ?

So, if someone out there masters both systems and is willing to share some tips (if there are any) with me : Hit me up :) I’ll be glad to learn something here !

In conclusion :

It seems that I’m taller than Tobin, and that is kind of a surprise to me ^^

Don’t even get me started on °C and °F. During my trip to the US, watching the weather report was more confusing than useful to me
