These are the first plans I made for the publication we have to hand in for assessment. Originally we were thinking of using domestic objects/products such as washing powder/jam jars/food packets etc and designing them individually but we worried this wouldn’t look like a collection and may be confusing or jarring.

We realised the theme behind our show was student life - we wanted to serve some kind of student meal - toasties? ready meals? and settled on a pot noodle. This is also where we got the title of the show Bombay Bad Boy! Using the pot noodle as a publication meant the tutors could actually eat the publication while they mark the work

Each pot noodle is personalised to each student - instead of flavour it will read the name of the student, instead of nutritional info it says the description of the work, instead of ingredients it shows the dimensions/materials used, best before date - private view. “if u are not happy with this product contact 206 hollydale road” (the venue - our house),
