So yeah, Tate is Rubberman. But, I think he really does have mommy issues. Always wanting to please the ladies in the murder house.
He wanted to please Nora. Since the gay guys weren't going to have a baby, Tate killed them. They were useless. They didn't need them anymore.
So when the Harmons moved in, he gave Nora what he asked for. A baby. In Vivien. Twins. And he regrets it. You can tell. Then, he met Violet. Like, Constance said, he doesn't have any of the grit and steel. So, he'll always do what he's told to do. Always trying to please the women. But, Violet is helping him develop a bit more confidence, a backbone, because he craves her strength.
Tate doesn't ever really know what he's doing. He doesn't like what he's doing to Vivien either. But, Hayden and Nora asked for it. And, he doesn't have the balls to say no. He really is 'just a child.' God, I love American Horror Story.
