earlier my program supervisor was laughing because i wrote the time for our next meeting on my hand but like…ever heard the phrase “I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached?” you know what’s attached? my skin. you know what’s not? my calender, my phone, my notebook, sticky notes, index cards, the high tech complicated solution you suggested. those are all things you can lose, forget to check, forget exist. your hands, though, are in and out of your field of vision all day. If you forget they exist, they remind you.
