Holy shit guys I just had an awesome ass idea!!
"One more mission and I'll hop off, almost done!" You'd hum tapping buttons and pushing the toggles to make the character sprint on the screen. Popping off other soldiers that stuck their head up, even taking cover as the screen took on that bloody overlay when injured. Head down and waiting for the blood to fade to signify your Regen. Before bolting up and clearing the area again, gaze flicking to the minimap in the corner and pausing. Darting after a yellow light instead of the mission target. Another flash of red has you ducking behind the corner of a building, peeking out as it fades and even getting a shot off. Watching as the body staggers and darts around another corner.
Quickly pursuing and using a sliding dash, camera snapping to the alleyway as you ran past. Several shots missing but one of yours sending the person to the ground. Red fading and you slowly approach, looking at the enemy combatant sitting against the wall, handgun aimed at you. Your own scope leveling as you prepared to finish them. Pausing as they didn't shoot and taking the chance to look them over with the zoomed in quality of a scope.
"Oooh, he's cute. I think I'll keep him." You laugh out dropping a med kit and crouching several times before spinning in space. Awkwardly kicking the kit towards the soldier. And turning around to check the rooftops and balconies, turning on the soldier when they spoke.
"You're... Helpin' me...?"
"You're... Helpin' me...?" I'd slowly rasp out, eyes looking over the black soldier in front of me. A smooth black plastic face like a mannequin, even though it was dressed like a bright soldier. This must have been one of the weird combat droids I must have heard about. Remote controlled from somewhere else, my answer being given by the static movements of the effigy waving it's scope up and down. And doing that weird spinning in place movement again.
Whoever it was, I must have lucked out, could still be killed at a later time but for now. The first aid kit was more important, and with the effigy keeping watch checking the rooftops, balconies, windows and corners. It was something... It was also very uncomfortable when they waved their scope around looking through it at me. Weird not to see an eye reflected but that black glassy faceless.
"Stop that. Keep yer scope out of m' fa- hey! What are ya doin' now?" My eyes would snap to the effigy running circles around me now before taking off to the alley and looking back at me. Only to race back and follow at my side like a strange faceless dog.
"Freak... Whatever, jus' don' shoot me in th' back, got it?"
