WMMAP half-siblings au
You know, I once read about that one post (that I cannot for the life of me, remember the author) about how with Anastasius and Claude both canonically stated to have harems, how the hell do they just have each a kid?!
I know, it’s really just for the plot convenience and how the Obelia magic probably function as condom magic (?) or there are spells that prevent pregnancy and all. But like, imagine if Athy and Jennette have more half-brothers/sisters/cousins.
Jennette’s journey in the LP ver might not be as smooth since there will be others who were more cunning and dangerous than our kind-hearted LP!Athy. Do you think Roger or countess Rosalia would have made it so LP!Jennette was a bit more aware and sharper her tongue and mind, rather than raising her to be a sweet, lovely, ignorant doll? Now that I think about it, LP!Athy’s life in the Ruby Palace would not be smooth too but she was also neglected/ unloved by Claude so...But then again, with the Ruby Palace concubines massacre, LP!Athy might not survive to her three-year-old birthday since her mother’s death was the indirect cause of the killing.
Though I’m not too sure if in a rage, he would also kill his other children. And depending on their ages, few might be close or at least tolerate LP!Athy. Which, damn, makes me even more angry at Claude and understand why there are no other children. You can excuse the mass killing of a bunch of concubines, but can you excuse if the concubines have had children?
In the WMMAP ver, though, I’m not too sure of what might add to the story since as explained above, our Athy could make Claude love her due to Diana, but the same could not be said for her half-siblings, who probably still resented her and Diana for the deaths of their mothers. Add to her gotten the favors of Claude...But they might be too afraid of Claude to try anything?
As for Ana’s children from the harem, did Claude kill them too? To prevent the possibility of them killing him in the future, like he did their father? If he ever kept them alive, what would the reasons for?
Like I said, many ideas to play around. What do you think about this au?
