I'm super glad you liked the gifset -- I really like it too! These are some of the best -- but subtle -- moments in the serial and I luurrrvvvee them all!

Okay but this scene is amazing. Khushi was having a moment. She was pointing to the smudge, her Laad Governor was adorably trying to get it, and then Lavanya-madam comes in and touches him with all that haq. The haq she wanted to have over him. And that moment, the one where she realises Arnav is not hers to want, uuggghhh, and then she looks back and he’s watching her because he’s not stupid, he knows what happened but he doesn’t know what to do about it when Khushi keeps giving him mixed signals.

This is, hands down, one of my very favourite moments in the entire serial. They’re having their own private moment in full view of their families (which is always my favourite form of intimacy). She’s knocking on her fiancé’s door but hyper-aware the man she loves is watching her, and he ... this man who was a breath away from kissing her a few days ago, has to watch powerlessly as she knocks and knocks.

I think when a lot of folks watch this scene, they’re watching Khushi. They’re seeing how hurt she is and they’re outraged because how dare he, this man who married her forcibly and never once asked for her side of the story, how dare he stand there and ask her if it’s easy for her. As if he didn’t ruin their tentative peace himself by bringing up the contract. But the thing is ... he’s hurt. He’s hurt, he’s hurt, he’s hurt and it bothers me that more people don’t see that.

That’s exactly how I interpreted the smile as well. It’s what I meant when I said “Advay, on the other hand, is smiling a tiny smile because the Game is on” in the Saat Soch – that he’s happy she has stepped up to the challenge.

I thought it was also telling that he accepted his defeat – Arnav, on the other hand, couldn’t admit he’d lost and just changed the rules to suit himself. Advay seems willing to go toe-to-toe with Chandni in whatever game he imagines they’re playing.

I think that sounds excellent, I love those days where you get to just be at home and watch something with hot chocolate! I’z curious -- what’s on your list of things to watch?? 

This year I watched The Bridge (pretty good), Chernobyl (omg so good), Sanditon (hated it, even Theo James couldn’t save it). I’ve just started watching The Crown but I don’t think I’m going to make it beyond the first season. I got through most of Elementary, which was awesome until it wasn’t. On my list -- Bridgerton, maybe that show that’s based on When Dimple met Rishi. The Grishaverse TV series is coming in 2021, and I think The Raven Boys one is too? Nope, that was cancelled.
