I could never watch ipkknd3 even though I lowkey wanted to because they fucking used rabba ve and I was like hell no but yesterday I accidentally came across one of the rabba ve redux tunes they used on that show and it pissed me off so much because goddamn the song is nice but my heart isn't ready to associate rabba ve with anything other than arnav and khushi.

And how do you think the third season of the show would have turned out if Sanaya starred in it? Would it have been better? I think that’s extremely unlikely. Leaving aside the fact that most of the audience wouldn’t be able to see anything but Arnav and Khushi if they were to star opposite each other again, the problem with IPKKND 3 wasn’t the casting (though I guess relying on Sobti’s ~fame~ to carry a daily serial wasn’t a smart decision). Star Plus took the guts of what was likely meant to be an amazing (revenge?) drama and forced it into the mould of a romantic daily called Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, complete with the Rabba Ve tune, and had the audacity to be surprised when it failed. I’d take issue with the writing (dialogue and story), costume, editing and cinematography before I pointed fingers at the casting or acting. I’ve spoken at length about this on @rowdyprofessor, you should probably start here and here :)

I don’t know if I recommend watching it, it’s genuinely a trashfire of a serial. But I have a blog dedicated to it and I liked it, so0o0o0oo *shrugs*Â
