I've made a conversion of the floaties from the new Poolside Splash Kit, now they are free and can be used with any swimsuit. You can find them in the bracelet section on the right hand.

Sandals Overrides (Keep Your Shoes Out of the Pool)
Updated Sept 2025 with the Nature Event sandals.
(In infomercial voice)
Hi there! Are you as sick as I am of seeing sims go SWIMMING with SANDALS on? Are you SHOCKED at the sudden rage among the local sims to wear slides everywhere, even underwater? Won't SOMEONE think of the children, who are spared this abomination, but who grow into slide-wearing teens Every Single Time?
This tiny override removes the Poolside Splash slides from all fashion categories except Hot Weather, because I’ve had the pack less than three days and it’s already threatening my sanity, and Nature Event sandals from all except Every Day and Hot Weather but with the clean swatches remaining in Party.
From this (assuming you have Island Living)
and this
to this
and this
They will still show in everyday by default, unless you turn on the Everyday filter. They will still show in Hot Weather.
They are still enabled for random. All I did was try to stop every sim in my game from wearing them in swimwear.
If you want to use them in any other category, you can always click off the category tag in the filters.
(Back to the infomercial)
Join me in my QUEST to SAVE our SIMS from this new fad! And to SAVE their SLIDES from being LOST to the bottom of the OCEAN!
Disclaimer: This is being written at almost 3am, so I hope it's as funny in the morning. Sadly will not remove the slides from sims who are already wearing them; you'll have to do that yourself.
Requires Poolside Splash Kit.

UPDATE:
Sept 5, 2025:
Now includes the Nature Event sandals. They're no longer available for swimwear or situation, and they're only available for random for party wear in clean swatches.
Manifested the original Poolside slides in PlumbBuddy.
May 12, 2026:
Deleted amethyst-Nature Is Calling Sandals override-YF.package and amethyst-Nature Is Calling Sandals override-YM.package because they were fixed by EA

can someone better at sims cc than me separate the bikini top and tied shirt from the poolside splash kit or at least edit it so the bikini bottom goes under leggings so I can layer it with other things? it's so cute and I'm frustrated that it only comes as a full body outfit
Poolside Splash Kit Overview - Fem Frame Items
Ft. Lea Hahn
OKAY so here were are with YET ANOTHER KIT! 🙃 I adamantly don't like kits, we know this. However, I (begrudgingly) admit that I honestly do like some of these items. I still think this all could have been included in a game pack that would also give actual gameplay features! The Sims team could have taken this idea further and realized its potential - waterslides, more pool decor, additional outdoor games and activities, perhaps even a new skill? I feel like we haven't gotten pool-related stuff since like... Get Together? JFC that's insane! So many underdeveloped features in this game!
Ahem. Sorry! Anyway...
More thoughts under the cut ↓
We did desperately need more swimwear and a lot of the pieces are pretty versatile. Lots of mix-and-match options are never a bad thing. I liked the whimsical swatches (the ones with gnomes) but they just didn't fit Lea's aesthetic. I love the swim trunks, both styles, but I still think for five dollars they could have varied the styles more. I was hoping we would get at least one wetsuit like this:
We haven't gotten wetsuits outside of Island Living, and all of those are full-coverage. I have a few cc bathing suits with short sleeves and shorts and I love them. Something like this would be great for athletic sims, kids, toddlers, modest sims, and even fashion-forward sims. Swatches could be versatile to fit different personalities, and they would work for all ages, so not a lot of effort on behalf of the sims team as they could just use the same suit for both genders AND all ages... but I digress! I personally would have rather had this than the floaties outfit for adults, but that's just a personal preference. I guess the floatie outfit is cute, especially on kids, but I'm pretty limited with the adult sims - I don't have a lot of adult sims who would wear arm floaties and an innertube.
As for the plain colors of the swatches... those felt lacking. Very limited color palette to one pastel and soft aesthetic. Would have loved to just have some basic plain colors in addition to the pastels and patterns. The color-wheel fans will go wild and be frustrated with this I'm sure, and in this case... they're absolutely right. So frustrating to get great basic pieces that still feel limited because of the limited color palettes (I'm sorry Bella, there's no red swatch to be found for you in this kit. I hate it too!)
As for accessories: I'm not crazy about the two pairs of sunglasses. I like some of the swatches from the first pair I have pictured above (the top picture). Overall though, I think both sunglasses lack detail, especially the second ones I have pictured above (the bottom pic). I'm biased though, I never think the sims team does sunglasses well and I hardly use accessories that come with kits. (There is always something off with them - either the coloring looks far too flat/2D or they're positioned weirdly on the face. How do CC creators usually nail them, but the sims team almost never does?)
I didn't realize there were two pairs of shoes so I only have a picture of the slides (Lea is wearing them with the floatie suit). The sandals not pictured are fine though, nothing revolutionary compared to what we already have. The pool slides are nice and versatile though, and I feel they're not like anything we already have. The texture of the slides are really nice too, with a subtle logo and a decent variety of colors (still wish there were more basic swatches outside of the pastel aesthetic, but we did get a white and black pair so I won't complain too much more about that). I'll probably use them a lot alongside one or two other items that I felt had good reusability in this kit.
I give the Poolside Splash Kit 3/5 stars, mostly for the multitude of missed opportunities. I'm tired of kits. Why can't they include a lot of these CAS items in other packs? Some kits could be expanded on and give us soooo much more - it's just wasted energy in my opinion when we're really lacking gameplay. Where is the creativity? They just feel like underwhelming cash grabs to me, and there are so many kits that they're starting to add up in cost.
The items are good, the textures are pretty good (some stuff is wonky - like the mesh top swimsuit looks a little odd in some colors, and the sunglasses feel flat for instance) but there's nothing here that CC hasn't already done. There are many more maxis-match swimsuits with 3x as many swatches done by creators like Trillyke which are free... I think for $5.00 you get a decent amount of items, a few which are fairly versatile, but idk that I'd recommend anyone go out and buy this kit unless swimwear is like, really important to you.
