I went to a restaurant in Hongdae tonight to celebrate my birthday. On the way home, my taxi driver FELL ASLEEP… AT THE WHEEL! 😭😭😭

Like SIR!??!

I had to tap him and shout “저기요!” to wake him😭

The worst part is that it took me 10mins to explain to this man (in my very broken Korean 🥲) where my friends and I were waiting for him EVEN THOUGH it’s on his GPS…. I used every brain cell I had reading and translating to help him find us annnnnd then this happens 🫠🫠🫠

I’m setting this whole place OFF 😤😭

The ability to have that feeling of “matched wits” or being “equally yoked” with a complete stranger feels criminal 🥲

Genuinely, how unfair is it that you can encounter someone who feels the same or complementary to your beliefs and core values and yet, you are a stranger to them…

They could go their entire lifetime without knowing you exist… they couldn’t draw you from memory if they tried. They don’t even you that you agree with them, that they make you feel seen without needing to speak.
