i feel like there's potential for a OUAT belexa AU, after this comparison (that crushed my heart Regina style) i might work on it, even tho i dropped the show after season 4 and just remember the basic stuff. we'll see where my crazy train of thought will go now you restarted the engine 😅 also Mulan was one of my faves too and the way they finished her storyline with aurora infuriated me to this day

I was just so pissed with where the writing went and I hated how they treated mulan’s character but mostly her relationship with aurora (i was a big time sleeping warrior shipper!)

Like they both had a series of terrible things happen to them (Regina’s entire childhood vs face!Lexi’s NXT experience as a whole) and they both took drastic measures to try and be happy (Regina putting the curse on everyone and sending them to Storybrooke vs Lexi becoming champ and taking the women’s division hostage for two years). They both are trying to redeem themselves through someone else (Regina thanks to Emma and Henry vs Lexi thanks to Nikki coughandBexcough) but find themselves torn between who they are and who they’re meant to be (Evil Queen/Regina Mills vs heel!Lexi/babyface!Lexi).
It’s quite uncanny and it’s pretty awesome to see.
my hc for Alexa now is that while she was out of the ring and hosting AMOB she slowly (very slowly) started to remember what is like to care about other people, hence her trying to be friends with Nikki and being nice to Becky. she's still struggling to stay chill tho, and the Iiconics got on her nerves bullying Nikki earlier and when the coffe incident happened, she snapped back to her violent ways, but this time was partially on Nikki's behalf
Yes I can def get behind this. Again, it is absolutely her being torn but Nikki’s influence is doing a number on her. And ya know what? Maybe the IIconics bullying her and Nikki reminded her of her NXT days, when pixie Lexi got picked on for being such a fairy sprakle princess.
