I agree! I think one of the big challenges with Bells Hells as a party is that they’re working with very apocalyptic stakes, so they don’t have as much downtime as previous parties have, bc there is a literal timeline to stop Ludinus from exploding the moon or whatever. It leads to a very high-stakes story with cool worldbuilding but there’s not a lot of time to hang out!

And, they truly haven’t all known each other very long, I think BH were together less than 6 months in the canon timeline.

Although my go-to in any fandom is just “they should all kiss,” I feel especially like Bells Hells could believably all become involved post-canon. Despite it being a queernorm world, we haven’t seen a lot of poly characters in Exandria aside from Caleb (thank you Liam for my life), but a lot of the Hells give poly vibes. I would very easily believe poly relationships are normal among the Ashari and the fey are just Like That, and just. Look at Ashton. You can’t tell me that guy’s monogamous. Chetney gave up on caring about this shit 200 years ago. Dorian is The Loverboy Supreme. Braius is challenging him for that title. Imogen and Laudna are quite focused on each other, but they also simply don’t experience jealousy bc they love seeing other people recognize how hot their girlfriend is.

Anyway, this COULD happen and lemme tell you how:

I feel positively about this! Pretty much all my dorym/dashrym fics include this dynamic, though most of them have one or the other with Ashton first, because, well, Ash is my favorite.

I’d say my biggest example of writing exactly this is Polymorph, though!

Personally, with how I write, it’s less of Orym letting Dorian do his thing outside of their relationship, and more the two of them also having feelings for other friends and having discussions about that before doing something about it. So, less like Caleb and Essek, where Essek doesn’t seem to frequently want any other partners (based on canon. That’s only halfway how I write him.) Plenty of people have suggested that Zephrah is a less monogamous society, in which case I can’t see Orym having any qualms about bringing it up!
