This is a drawing from a scene in “Shigurui: Death Frenzy”, in which one of the main characters, the legendary swordsman Iwamoto Kogan, is tricked into hiding his sixth finger during an audience with a feudal lord, which proves insulting, because another important person had the same amount of fingers.

A visual motif that has entranced me for a while now, ever since I first came across it in the anime “Shigurui: Death Frenzy”.

Milo whistled as he approached the shack. HIs colleague really was lucky to be studying this place. He walked up on to the deck knocking on the door. He turned to look out into the forest, it was nice here. Serene and welcoming, much better then his boiler room office that was crammed with old artifacts and replicas. He squinted seeing several red hats poke out from the bushes “What in the-” His words were cut off when he heard the shack door open. 

“I’m what your journal would classify as a Level 10 ghost. And I have enough proof to back that up.”

“But I already wrote to them about it! You should go see them!”

“I don’t think you’re a burden. You’ve helped me out more than you know, Grunkle Ford. Sure there’s been some bumps in the road, but...I’ve been dealing with stuff like that even before you came back through the portal.”
