"You going t' give us a show then, grandad?"

"Maybe if you're good," Roy countered. "But for now, I was hoping to join in."

From over Jamie's shoulder, Keeley's big, green eyes shimmered hopefully. Her arm flexed where it was wrapped around Jamie's waist.

Jamie's teasing face dropped, a shade passing behind his eyes that had Roy stopping mid-crouch to look at him properly.

His eyes were a little dilated, but he seemed... good. Not unaware. He wasn't quite meeting Roy's gaze, his focus lost on the wall over his shoulder, but a pink flush dusted his cheeks and ears.

He didn't seem not interested.

If Roy was going to risk fucking everything up, he needed more than not not interested.

He caught his knuckle under Jamie's chin and tilted his head so his attention was back on Roy.

"Hey," called Roy, as gently as he could manage when it felt like there was a caged bull kicking in his chest. "Is this okay?"

"Your house, innit?" Jamie said, avoiding the question. Before Roy could respond -

- and technically, it was Keeley's house and she could ask Roy to leave if she wanted privacy, if she wanted Jamie to herself -

- Jamie reached out and tugged at the arm Roy had braced against the coffee table. "C'mon then. I'm fucking cold. You can warm me up."
