Loin de moi de faire un panégyrique du Front Populaire qui n’est plus d’actualité dans la société d’aujourd’hui tellement les choses ont changé, même si la lutte pour l’égalité de tous et la liberté de tous, d’expression de mouvement, de travail, de pensée, de religion et bien d’autres encore sont toujours d’actualité. Mais les mobilisations de rue sont aujourd’hui les otages des commandos para-sociaux clandestins de ce que certains considèrent les banlieues alors que leurs organisateurs sont issus de la classe moyenne parfois supérieure. Le sens de l’aventure violente n’a pas de limites mentales et encore moins de limites sociales.

Plus donc que faire le panégyrique, je vais donner en accompagnement de documents visuels centrés sur le Front Populaire et son époque artistique quelques textes récents où je mets en abîme le Front Populaire comme un héritage culturel, tout comme la pièce de 1986, “36 Sans Épouvante et Sans Souliers », était principalement un montage de textes poétiques de l’époque et un accompagnement musical en chansons de l’époque aussi. Secondly - Guamblog remains by the side of Troy Torres, the most important government whistleblower in the history of Guam. I reached out to Troy last night to ask why he unfairly implicated Fred Bordallo in the Blue House case - which btw, guamblog broke long before media would even pick the story up.

Finally - and Alicia Limtiaco SHOULD remember this - it was ME, Romeo Carlos, who came to her office, with then-senator Tina Muña Barnesto discuss the problem with a Chuukese girl being held, basically, as a sex slave! Alicia, Tina, and then-speaker Judi Won Pat thought the best path forward was - a resolution. Yeah, if you don’t remember it, then it’s not your fault. the girl was picked up, returned to the Blue House captivity, got pregnant and had a forced abortion...it would be almost 2 years before it was being swept by PAUL SUBA, who was the chief of police at the time. Guamblog blasted the corruption for days THEN PDN decided to get into the story. The rest is history.

As for Troy saying Bordallo was chief at the time had a different response to guamblog when asked about the factual error...

Guamblog’s newest, favoritest bestie claims he did not implicate Fred in trying to sweep things under the rug.

“I didn’t even say his name,” Troy replied. I reminded him that he did and it was on tape - although someone at PNC did a rather tricky edit that took his words out of context - intentionally. No way it could be an accident when compared to the previous day’s broadcast using the same video clip.

“I like Fred,” Troy told guamblog.

Gutierrez Bordallo 2018 can expect more dirt, more attempts to slant truth, tales and outright lies as the other teams slip and slide in the shit hitting their campaigns. But guamblog will be here, plunging the depths for the truth because what is at stake is of critical importance to the future of Guam and our kids.
