This is what pure encouragement, love, and pole fun sounds like. @rachelhun and @bornbellodominicano can always be counted on for some good background chatter. I have never posted a "figuring out a trick" video, but I think it's important to show us learning and not just the perfect clips. This is an obviously not clean combo, but this is what trying new stuff looks like for us. #Pole #poledance #polefitness #polepractice #Workout #Fit #Fitness (at Polecats Aerial Fitness LLC)
Three months ago marked the 2 year anniversary of my pole dancing journey. On May 12, 2022, I attended my very first pole class, a pole flow basics session. It was a completely new experience for me, especially since most of the other women in the studio had been dancing or doing gymnastics since childhood. I had no prior exposure to anything like this.
I had always been the nerdy, awkward, misfit, timid, weirdo girl my whole life. Stepping into a space that demanded physical and emotional vulnerability was incredibly challenging. I struggled not just with the physical movements, but also faced my emotional blocks and insecurities head-on for the first time.
I’m deeply grateful for everything pole dancing has taught me and the opportunities it has opened up. If you’d told my past self that I’d be confidently twirling and performing in front of others, I’d have thought it was a joke. This is what it means to shift into new realities—by tackling difficult challenges and embracing the unknown.
I chose this practice session as my two-year check-in because it serves as a reminder that perfection isn’t the goal. I had originally planned to film a polished video with a glamorous look, but instead, I decided to share a raw, in-the-moment clip of me nailing a difficult combo that I wouldn’t have been able to do two years ago.
I’ve made huge progress, and my journey continues as I explore new and exciting territories.
The Case of Pole Fitness Dancing at Home While Pregnant
Many women ask, " Is it safe to do pole dancing while pregnant?" "Can I go keep going to pole dancing class while pregnant?" Lately, I have been reading and seeing videos posted on Youtube and Facebook about pregnant pole fitness dancing. Although most people are impressed by this feat, others are not equally fascinated. A lot of people argue that pole dancing while pregnant is not beneficial for a woman and puts her unborn child at risk. Moreover, I have also had some queries from my students regarding its safety since one just recently found out that she is with child. I do understand the cause of concern both of those who have been doing pole fitness dancing routines for some time and now find themselves pregnant as well as those who are clearly opposed to this notion. For seasoned pole dancers, it isn’t easy giving up something you love doing especially if it keeps you fit and helps boost your self-confidence and sexuality. Stopping doing what you love most creates a void in a person’s daily routine, which most pole dancers are not willing to give up. Hence, the reason why you see some pregnant women still doing pole fitness. Furthermore, to support their stand, pregnant pole dancers reference some medical research saying that regular low to mid-impact exercises are actually advantageous for a healthy pregnancy. Managing Dizziness When Learning Pole Dancing At Home On A Spinning Dance Pole
I have had a lot of people asking me questions recently on how to deal with dizziness when learning how to pole dance for fitness, especially for beginners. This is a very common concern and some beginners fear that they will never be able to enjoy doing pole spins for the long term because of the dizziness they experience. For other people, this may sound like a very trivial question, but this is something that you should consider for your safety especially when transitioning from using a static dance pole into a spinning dance pole. Ideally, pole dance beginners use the static dance pole first to practice the basic movements of pole dance before switching to a spinning or rotating dance pole. This is because spinning or rotating dance poles allow a lot of momentum and require some skill and strength to manipulate. More than that, dancing on a spinning dance pole can cause motion sickness so much that they are at risk of falling off the pole; we want to avoid that ;). People get dizzy because of the conflicting messages that the parts of the nervous system that controls their sense of balance and equilibrium send to our brain. An example would be a damaged ear sending the wrong signals as compared to the other ear which isn’t damaged. The conflicting signals to the brain makes it confused about our sense of rotation making us suffer and experience vertigo or nausea. Read the full article

💜 Throwback Thursday 💜 I wish this was about flexibility but the reason why I almost reach a 180 split is because I gained a lot of confidence on ayesha elbow grip and I can arch my back and lower my right foot a lot more without losing my balance. #poledancer #poledancetrick #polepractice #throwbackthursday #poledance #polesplit #ayeshavariation tion #ayeshaelbowgrip #ayeshasplit #balance #allenarsiacasa #split #upsidedown https://www.instagram.com/p/B9oRlJiIc1i/?igshid=1l44c4dtldfuk
