I taught various pieces of this combo to my students at Impulse Pole Dance yesterday morning, and they killed it!!! I wanted to record the most advanced version of the combo we are working towards as slowly as I possibly could so it would be easier to see the transitions in and out of each move...slowing down is not my strong suit so this was definitely a challenge for me!
I teach EVERYTHING in levels so that my mixed level class is appropriate (& safe!) for everyone from Beginner to Advanced ā¤ļø We start with the basics and work from the ground up! I'm always there to spot you, plus we have multiple mats š
I absolutely love showing the different pieces of moves and helping people link them together....and then seeing the look on my students' faces as it all starts to click in their brain brings me so much joy š

I know that maybe no one cares, but...Iām a bit struggling internally because of many things (feelings, people, pandemic, last phd year, not knowing what I will do next, etc)
Iām a Scientist (a mad one *insert here evil laugh*) BUT also a Pole Fitness instructor and my lovely darling sent me this from the other side of the world, an ocean separate us
I canāt be luckier, I feel lonely but I know she is taking care of me from far away (together with my others bff)

Instructor injuries
I'd be kind of interested to find out what injuries instructors are dealing with, or more specifically if there are any that just don't have any? Like I teach pole, aerial and ballet and I I have a bad chest and a bad back, my old teacher used to have a bad shoulder; does being an instructor just mean having injuries? Because you can't stop teaching to let them heal? Let me know what you think - if your a pole/aerial instructor what injuries are you or have you had to deal with, or have you been lucky enough to avoid them? If so how??

Ā Inspired by Beyonceās āDance For Youā video and the filmĀ Flashdance, Gigiās performance was actually more Vegas showgirl than stripperā¦ Her performance actually blew out the sound system at Magic, and we hear she collected an estimated $20,000 during her final show. Gigi ended her dance by pulling a sparkly star from the top of her set, causing money and glitter to cascade all over her, and the stage. When it was all over the crowd immediately cleared the club, leaving some of the other dancers upset because of the early closing.
For those of you who never made it out to Magic City to see Gigi do her thing, donāt fret. Sheāll still be putting her ten years dance experience to work. Gigi is a Certified Pole Instructor and sheās leaving Magic City to run PoleFanAddicts Inc. Copies of āGiGiās Last Danceā will be available for purchase on Valentineās Day 2012.
And although Gigi is no longer performing at Magic City, she STILL tours as a featured performer.
