For Wooyari (Modern): ❣ - A memory that leaves them laughing
It was not long after she had started her first holiday break in high school when Laiamen fell ill.
Wooyari, feeling a sort of closeness to the older woman, did not hesitate to accompany her to the hospital. Of course, it was just another health scare, those were normal in Karmens as old as her. But still, it only served to worry the foster girl, even if Laiamen would be cleared to go home in two days.
“...Wooyari.” The elder said to the teen as she rested near her in that hospital room. “Come now, don’t spend your day worrying over me.”“B-but!”“No buts now.” She lightly scolded. “Go on, you surely found friends at school didn’t you? Why don’t you spend some time with them?”
She was reluctant to leave, it just felt wrong to. And yet, she relented and agreed to spend that day having a bit of fun and getting fresh air.
It was lucky for Wooyari that her friends wanted to go to the mall that day, as it was a decent walk away. It was fairly cool out, but winter hadn’t exactly settled in yet. At most, it was hoodie or light jacket weather out. The sun was constantly being obscured by clouds though, and quite a few chilly breezes disturbed those outside.
Once she made it to her destination, it was fairly easy to catch sight of her group. Cannogabang, who was the most outgoing of them, went up to greet her while the rest stayed seated at the edge of a large indoor fountain the mall sported.
“Oh, Wooyari!” The dragon greeted. “So nice of you to make it today! In fact, we have some people I’d like for you to meet?”That was news to Wooyari. “Oh? Canno, what do you mean?”“A smaller hero school was closed recently, so we’ll be getting some transfer students next semester!” As Cannogabang explained on, Wooyari happened to look over her shoulder, and spot a familiar orange mask...“Their names are Pyokorider and-”“Myams!”
Absolutely overjoyed to see her old childhood friend once more, Wooyari moved past Canno and went to greet him. Hearing his name, Myamsar unexpectedly stood up, smiling when he saw that familiar fish mask.
Unfortunately, the force of their hug was underestimated. In the middle of their moment, Myamsar was knocked over, and sent the both of them tumbling into the fountain with a huge splash. Their friends had one of three possible reactions: Laugh hysterically, back away or stare in confusion, or help stand the crazy kids back up.
“...I take it you two know each other well?” Canno giggled at the spectacle. Everyone in the mall was staring, but they didn’t seem to care. Their clothes were soaked and their cellphones needed to sit in bowls of rice later, but Wooyari and Myamsar knew that from on, everything would be okay.
