Steam rose from the tea cup perched between his long and elegant fingers. The relaxing aroma carried a light floral note, golden eyes staring across the rim alluringly. “You know...it was a sweetly tempting offer you just made. Not just anyone would know about my circumstances.” A delicate sip was taken, watching as his guest clutched at his throat. Bloody froth overran the hyur’s throat, his lungs dissolving as the chemicals did their work. Honey didn’t bat an eye as fingers clutched at that straining throat, the other hand of the man shooting out and knocking the teacup from Honey’s hands. The viera blinked mildly, a square of fabric fetched from inside voluminous sleeves to dab lightly at the tea spots on them. “What a bother, I was rather fond of this kimono. You ought not to have done that.” Indeed, the tea was already eating at the man’s skin. If he’d had breath left to scream he would have. As it was he couldn’t do more than make a choked noise, horror in his bulging eyes as he watched how his flesh blackened. As though held to a hot flame. Then the tremors began and he writhed on the floor like a caught fish, flopping about and nearly upsetting the table. It was only with quick reflexes Honey was able to save the tea pot. With that china crock in his hands he walked over to where the man was busy dying, smiling down upon him like an angel. “Freedom is a most heady offer indeed but I’m afraid I’m going to have to turn this wonderful opportunity for betrayal down. After all, I must think of the children. If I were to get myself killed in your schemes then who would take care of them?” With that he emptied a splash of tea across the man’s face, allowing the caustic brew to do it’s work. Once the man’s face resembled a blackened bowl full of charcoal slurry and uncooked meat and the foam had ceased, Honey nudged the corpse with the toe of one slipper. Just to make sure the job was done. Satisfied, he set the teapot down and raised a hand to the linkpearl in his ear. “Sir, could you make sure the gardeners attend me today? Yes, of course, I just need to get these in the ground...”
