I always love agreeing when people say a certain character in a show is overrated.
Kai being overrated? Sure. Morro being overrated? Old news. But when people claim that a main character is overratedā¦..
A character canāt be overrated in their own show.
I donāt know how to break the news to some of you, but Lloyd is Ninjagoās main character. He isnāt overrated.
Despite him being the character to gain the most attention, works, edit, etc, heās still not overrated.
A main character canāt be overrated when the show is about that, it only shows the main character is either super beautiful, well written, or both.
And yes, I know youāre thinking āThatās not true, Kai was the main character of S1, and Nya was of S14! S12 and S6 are obviously about Jay.ā And youāll only be right about your third argument.
And let me hit you with one argument to counter yours.
But have you noticed that no matter what, Lloyd as not the main focus, would still gain the most screen time? And his own arc for that screen time?
S7, is supposedly about Kai and Nya, and yet Lloyd has this whole āmaster-in-trainingā arc.
S4, is supposedly about Kai, and yet whose powers are exclusively saved for last?
S10, I think itās supposedly about Cole? Who dies? Whose father needs to be released from prison? Who is apparently the one of two people who can walk through the darkness as if Wu doesnāt exist? (Lmao maybe itās a Lloyd season after all)
S3, is supposedly about love (Pixane/Cojaya), who is targeted by The Overlord and has to runaway with his papa?
AND in the few Jay season where he didnāt get that special of an arc, he was somehow the one to last longest without us knowing he will. LET ME EXPLAIN LMAO, we all knew when watching that Nya was gonna make it with Jay in S6 & S12, but in both of these, before Nya ādisappearsā, itās Lloyd who dies/gets sucked into the sword
Also, just think about who we know most stuff about and whoās enemies & relatives have the most screen time. Iāll do you a solid and yes, you can not count Wu as Lloydās relative and only count close family, cause Lloyd is still moping the floor!!
I lost track so in conclusion: Lloydās the main character of Ninjago, main characters canāt be overrated when itās their show, and I shouldnāt make points I might not believe in tomorrow when I wake up
Why am I the crazy one for comparing Google employees to cops? A despotic company with their hands in everything 'asking' for your ID every chance they get, sounds like cop behavior to me.
Iām in love with my boyfriend rn he called me his Addy
2 weeks in and Dracula has finally gotten around to make the 3 letters request

do you ever see a post that makes you roll your eyes so far you can see what you did yesterday
Hey! I've been meaning to buy Aristoteles & Dante for a while now but never actually done it. Can you give me some inspiration by telling me why it's a good book? You don't have to if you don't want to, but I'd really appreciate itššš
Hey anon!
Oh boy, you want me to try and explain why aaddtsotu is such a good book? I feel like Iāll fail you with my lack of being able to convey just how beautiful it is. Iām hoping that anyone else who reads this will please add in the comments as to why they feel itās such a great book. (please donāt leave me to be the only one because I donāt think i can do it justice)
To me, the book reads like poetry and in a lot of ways. There is is this purity to it that I donāt think a lot of other books have been able to capture. Itās a story of 2 mexican-american boys in the 80ā²s, who are entirely opposites to one another but are able to teach one another important things in their lives. Strangers who become friends, and then friends who fall in love and become so much more. They have such a yin and yang relationship to one another. Ari is the more reluctant of the two, always seeing the world in darker, more melancholic hues. Dante, however is this explosion of color & happiness and light. Heās the one thatās always looking to the future, to better things. Heās the āglass half fullā to Ariās āglass half emptyā view on life.
The parental representation in the book is also wonderful. The relationship between both characters and their parents is strong and warm and loving. Both Ari & Danteās parents are supportive of their children and who they are and how they can better their lives by pointing out emotions that have maybe been overlooked because they are so inside their own heads, as most kids can be.
I snagged some help from a friend to see what theyād say about it to help sell it and they came at me with:
āIt was the first lgbtq book I read and one of the greatest friends to everything books I have ever read. Itās got so much: family, friends, conflict, growth, sacrifice, doubt, longing.ā
I know this isnāt much to go on (I also apologize as I am at work right now too).Ā
This book to me though is one i cherish and find so heartwarming and I love seeing Ariās growth throughout the book. I find myself thinking a lot about it from time to time randomly and then craving a reread. And because of how it flows it can easily be one of those books that youāll cherish also and hold close to you heart for all that it can teach you too.Ā ā”Ā ā”
