You played my ribcage like a harp, yes it made me bleed yet you were holding me tight that night so I kindly let it play.
@poetsescape
Let me stay in bed until I heal Let my mind finally fix itself Let me change my patterns for the better I can not prey on one more night for the better I can't do this anymore, Watching the endless clock tick in my mind Ticking down the second until my brain wakes up.
@poetsescape
The rain vibrates my eyes as I write with cold shaken hands. Messy? Yes, yet I still write this love letter for you.
@poetsescape
The plastic blue sky melts above your body Fake clouds line up side by side Blocking the sun from healing you You imagine yourself as a God yet Your brain can not regulate feelings It never could.

My brain can not regulate feelings, it never could.
@poetsescape
Empty pages water my eyes I choke beneath silience I swallow and began to write.
I start to write on a piece of paper in my black faded notebook.
The piano plays gently as ever whilst I write with my pen.
My mind flares into a forest fire of imagination.
Across this paper, I dance with this pen.
Gracefully I pick up my soul and spill on paper.
An ingenious spectral fire blast from the walls creating fear and terror from behind my chair.
Anxieties drench my back, so I slowly stretch not knowing what is behind me.
Laggard, I pick up my pen that feels like it weighs a ton.
Out of nowhere paranoia sets in and I feel the urge to turn around.
My head cranks slowly to the right of my back.
I feel chills up from my toes to my chest.
I turn fully around and I look down at my shadow, to my eerie delight I see something move.
My eyes drop and my heart follows.
The gentle piano that once played a few minutes ago now screeches across my room.
With a sound so piercing no sane man could handle.
Not knowing what was going on my room starts to shake and I drop down to the floor.
I scream “make It stop, make it stop” whilst I cover my ears with my hands.
Picture frames start to fall off of dressers, glass jars shatter on the ground, yet my shadow remains.
The skin of mine crawls with fear as I scream bloody murder.
My body floats upwards slowly whilst I drag my rotten soul across the room.
Crawling to my chair I pick my eyes up and look downwards at my black notebook.
I see scribbles, shapes and unreadable writings across the pages.
I start to flip through the pages.
Pages are filled with numbers, scribbles and awful thoughts.
As I flip through the notebook I come across a page written in blood I read,
“you are safe now.”
