Goodbye hurts

Goodbye takes a knife and carves out your stomach

It prods at the mind and controls the body

It constricts the throat so words can’t escape

It feels like a pain that will never end

But Goodbye also heals

Like the first breath of fresh air when you haven’t seen the outside in so long

Like when you go back home and hug your old friends and your dogs and your mom

Like when you find a new home to build and become your own woman

Like when you see the world from a new perspective, revealing a beauty that seemed to be hidden.

Goodbye hurts

But Goodbye also heals

Goodbye also teaches

What if I told you

It was all yours

Would you change your mind about how we spend time

Would you lick me slowly from behind

And would you tongue kiss me 

Looking deeply into my eye’s

What if I told you

That you are mine

A gift to me from The Divine

Would you cuddle me more tightly 

Would you think of nightly 

Each time you left my side 

You would anticipate the next time 

You were able to gaze into my eye’s

What if I told you

I know that you are afraid

To love all of me

What if I told you

That love must guide your way

Not the doubt that prevents you

From seeing

From hearing

What your heart is speaking

What if?!??
