it's about science, the deeply human desire to fix our mistakes, and America.
I don't know if anyone has already ask you about this, sorry! But I'm really blind about BriennePod's plot. I have no idea what can we expect for them. Do you have any theory?
Hi! Don’t be sorry, no one has, but even if they did, it’s no problem at all :)
Some season 5 big spoilers (diverging from book material) ahead!
Yes, I feel the same, Brienne and Pod are a complete wild card in season 5, since they have none of their book plot left: last season’s fight with Sandor replaced the one with Biter in the books to some extent (and even if that wasn’t the case, both Rorge and Biter were killed by Sandor and Arya previously); also, her encounter with Sandor means that we won’t have any Quiet Isle plot (moreover, Rory McCann won’t appear in season 5). We also know that there’s no Lady Stoneheart in season 5 either, which means that another big milestone in her plotline is gone as well (Unless they get captured by a LS-less Brotherhood Without Banners? But, why?) Moreover, her mission os finding the Stark girls is probably over: per some spoilers that seem pretty trustworthy, we know that Brienne and Pod will find Sansa pretty early in the season (episode 1 or 2), but she, like Arya did, will turn them away She has found both Stark sisters, she has “lost” the two of them. If this is true, she’s literally directionless —as we can see from that sneak peek on her talking with Podrick about how she doesn’t want to be a leader.
So, any plot they give her will be completely new. Which makes me really uneasy —I hate not knowing. I guess there’s two choices here (three, but I refuse to believe they are killing her off): they create a new plot for her; or they give her the plot of another character that doesn’t exist in the show. But that’s as far as I go :( We don’t have much to speculate with, I’m afraid: we have seen her fighting some knights in the trailers, and I feel like this could be linked to the problems they are encountering in the Vale (according to episode 2 synopsis). Then we have that disheartening speech, that probably goes right after Sansa’s “rejection” as an aknowledgment that she has failed both Catelyn and Jaime —so nothing really new. In the second trailer, we see Brienne and Pod in a place covered in snow, but winter is finally coming to Westeros, and I’m guessing that will be emphasized this season; so that’s not necessarily the North, it could also be the Riverlands,
I guess. I’m sorry to say, I’m clueless :(
