Spring Storm
A short Lieutenant Lesaro fic (I promised this time would be softer)
The world alight with particles of mist, and that mist the reflecting droplets configuring into shadows of white orbs and grey dawn, began the journey from the tumultuous night to a slower day.
Sweetly sleeping, kissed by dew, the trees and grasses, the first bloom of Spring’s brightest flowers so delicate lay underneath the shroud of this mist in the valley below.
Across the new memory of morning, the sun now touching those same orbs gathering larger and heavy, as they blow across the sky until they ignite with a flash of brilliant white heat and send the roll of deep vibrations across the clouds.
And in the second story of the grand Hacienda, blue shutters partially blocking out simple light, a calm room dressed in deep blues and red velvet against white adobe walls sitting stoically to the background of this storm.
But we are only invisible guests here, not to disturb a single silver brush on the dresser, nor a single chair where lay a discarded book. No, dare we not to touch beyond with our eyes alone the boots that lay fallen on the floor, the uniform neatly across the chest at the foot of the bed, the silk and embroidered dress pooled as no more than what would pass as remnants of a loom from the grandest weavers.
The shockwave that follows a flash, the crashing of fire in the sky, abruptly illuminating this scene shook the floors and awoke those within.
“Guille! What was that?”
“Hmm? Only thunder, cariña.”
Tightly he held her, bringing her head again down to the niche in his shoulder letting her face touch his bare skin, letting her ear transfix her attention to the sound of his heart. She breathed in, then a warm exhale left her mouth to transverse his chest even as his own breath rose and fell from his lungs.
The tempting length of her hair wrapped and slid between his fingers as he broke the silence once more with a request. She conceded when his arm brought her fully above him, laying her mouth to his waiting curved lips, twisting his legs once again with hers, rolling his hips up to greet her own.
“There is your smile,” his finger tracing the lips he had brought to life. “Shh, back to sleep.”
