MIUI 12.5 Update is Officially Being Limited for Poco X3 Pro Phones in India
The Poco X3 Pro devices sold in India are now the first to receive the MIUI 12.5 patch. There is already a small rollout ongoing, which is delivering the updated software to a few devices.
If no major concerns are identified, a wider release will be provided. “The purpose for the restricted release,” says Poco India director Anuj Sharma, “is to monitor whether any possible network or application that isn’t part of our test case performs differently than planned.”
The latest build, which is now being distributed to a select few, is called MIUI 12.5.3.0.RJUINXM and download size in at 830MB. It includes the June 2021 security updates, which are practically current and so automatically good to see on a Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco phone, since they are typically rather behind on them.
As with previous MIUI 12.5 updates, this one should provide a better operating experience due to “specific device model modifications,” instant reaction to gestures, “20 times more rendering power” (whatever that means), and an overall “lighter, faster, and more durable” interface.
