Felicity stood in the hallway just outside her new apartment. The landlord said he’d left the key to her place with the guy right across the hall as he wasn’t around to meet her when she moved in. She knocked on the apartment door and waited till it opened.
“Hi” she said as the door swung open, “sorry to disturb you, I think Frank told you I was gonna be stopping by, I’ve just moved in across the hall” Felicity said pointing to the door just behind her.

Sometimes, a little humour was the best way to stop the darkest moments of their jobs getting to them too much. Matt knew for sure there had been times where he had become consumed by cases that dragged him down a rabbit hole. "Let's go. Ending the call, he slipped into the guidance office and almost immediately his phone vibrated in his hand. "Sorry, Dee-- Nick's mom is out of town so just...keeping her abreast of the situation," his eyes were focused on the screen as he spoke, fingers furiously typing. It wasn't until he looked up that his thin lips shifted into a genuine, albeit surprised, smile, "Oh-- uh, have we met before?" he asked, "Admittedly I'm bad with faces, but I'm sure we have..."

A sigh passed her lips and the frustration was evident on her face. She could play it off as simply being irritated by his presence, however it was partly because she knew that he was somewhat right. As much as she hated to admit it, there was something about him that she couldn't bring herself to hate entirely.
"And give you the satisfaction? Not a chance." she replied, bringing her glass to her lips to take a sip.
