Summary: Castiel’s family owns the shoddily-regulated coal mine where John Winchester works, so Dean storms Cas’s mansion, demanding answers from the drugged-out trust-fund kid. In exchange for his help repairing the mine, Cas demands Dean live with him for three months and give Cas a shot at seducing him by allowing him one kiss a day.
Comments: 10/10. This doesn’t sound like much but it is absolutely amazing. Cas tries to seduce Dean, which is pretty easy honestly, but Dean also has internalized homophobia which messes up things a little. The sexual tension in this fic is amazing, and I love the slow burn. There’s a fair amount of angst, though not heart wrenching or that explicit, if that makes any sense. For a large part of the fic Dean is denying his sexuality, and when he does accept it something else happens. Let’s just say they’re both idiots and they are in love. Seriously, this story is amazing, and only 15 chapters. WARNINGS: Cas has a pretty traumatic memory that is not explicitly described, it involved the death of an autistic kid. It’s only mentioned once so don’t worry too much about it.
