You know whats fucked up. We used to be SO ravenous to read. Nonstop reader, devouring fics til we were scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel back before ao3 was like. A Thing. Or at the very least not a widely known thing. And now I dont even remember the last fic we read. I think it was a bloodymary pwp a few weeks ago but that was an anomaly. We barely read established books. We write sometimes, but nowhere near as often as we used to. I cant see it from here, but I can feel its presence, something happened that made it not fun for us anymore.
Maybe it was the discourse, maybe it was people being Wrong About The Character, maybe someone made fun of us I don't know and can't remember. But I miss how we used to engage in old fandom spaces, even if I-me wasn't there for it. I think I have those pieces somewhere. I dunno.
