a canon-compliant headcanon

i think there should be a moment when they both think the other one is sleeping with cinna….like they’ve been having this unofficial relationship for years, they only get to see each other a few days each year, they’re obsessed with each other but can’t really do anything about it, and when cinna joins the team they both see that he seems to get along with the other and are like wait…i’ve connected the dots. and they’re both trying to act so fine about it and thinking things like ‘maybe he’s doing this to get back at me’ or ‘maybe he’s bored with me’ etc meanwhile of course cinna is like why am i here what is this about. he’s very obviously not sleeping with either (and would never do that to himself!) anyway after that plutarch and haymitch go back to have their vague and unofficial relationship like nothing ever happened

i have a canon-divergent one where haymitch is the one selected for the 75th huger games instead of peeta and peeta, as katniss and haymitch’s mentor, is contacted by the rebels right before the games…everyone is in the worst mood lmao. plutarch keeps lecturing peeta about the way he deals with his stress and meanwhile he’s yelling at people for not bringing him enough coffee lmao and fluvia especially has the worst time and is like killing myself today? who knows? and of course plutarch deals with snow a lot during that time so he has to pretend he’s fine…..i’d love him to seriously consider not going through with his plan to get haymitch back Before he’s in serious danger but doesn’t really have a choice. also of course OF COURSE. a scene where plutarch actually explains his evil arena to haymitch before the games and haymitch like like what the fuck is wrong with you

3. a NSFW headcanon

because plutarch is the busiest man alive (especially during the games preparations and actual games), he has a special schedule in which he notes shit like ‘sex with H today’, ‘maybe even time for fucking’ or ‘that’s a close window but a blowjob would be nice’. haymitch ends up finding it and is like there is no fucking way….he ends up having sex with him anyway because they don’t have a lot of opportunities but he also threatens plutarch to stop talking to him forever if he ever mentions the sex schedule
