okay but how much akon love’s ryu in this au honestly just fucking Kills me. ryuuken died as he was always going to. akon created ryuken in an attempt to get back the love of his life and when that failed he just... accepted that he was going to be alone forever. and 100′s of years pass and he Is alone. and he’s holding on to the guilt of having created ryuken in the first place, which was done selfishly, knowing that ryuuken would have never approved. and he just has to deal with the guilt of it all because he was weak. because he couldn’t move on. because he was just so desperate to have him back... and then after all that time... he’s reincarnated. and akon gets to meet ryu. and it’s different. ryu is not ryuuken and he accepts that. and he falls in love all over again. but... ryu still gives him that same sort of love. selfless. unconditional. and it breaks akon at first because he doesn’t feel deserving of it at all. but ryu helps him grow and helps him learn that he is worth it, just how ryuuken helped akon learn he also was worthy of love for the first time. and it’s just... profound. and it fucks me up. @xyuuken / @plumadraco
