Hello, lovely anon!

I made the rookie mistake to promise consistent updates when my personal life currently doesn’t allow that due to lack of time…I also made the rookie mistake of signing up to a fest and partaking in this year’s secret santa, so of course those fics came first.

I know these are just excuses and excuses but I promise you with my LIFE that you and all the others who reluctantly stuck around will get an update before we enter the new year!!!

Here a small snippet from "pretty like the sun" as a reconciliation (this doesn’t happen next chapter but oh well SMUT INCOMING):

"It’s just that I'm usually not…well-," Daniel stutters and Max thinks he’s lovely when he blushes.

"You want to fuck me? That is fine. I’m verse." Daniel splutters at that, almost falls back into the sheets but Max steadies him, raising an eyebrow. Daniel can’t help but laugh. So pretty with the blush on his neck.

"Max you couldn’t even say the word gay yesterday and now you’re throwing words like verse around me? You’re unbelievable."

"I have had gay sex before, Daniel."

Daniel’s eyes soften and he quickly kisses Maxs nose.

I am so, so sorry! I have not forgotten you or this fic, I promise!

I just greatly underestimated my ability to update weekly…😵‍💫 I am currently moving to a different city, started a new job and at the same time I enrolled into uni again, so I simply didn’t have a calm moment this month and it’s not slowing down. And then the thing with Daniel happened and I was lowkey grieving an alive rich man…BUT I will be back with an update soon! I am working on it (and on two other fics for the Halloween fest)…until then, I hope I can appease you with this snippet from the pizza night:

For the first time today, it was quiet for a minute. Everyone stuffing themselves with the food.

Out of the corner of his eye, Max saw Lando letting Piñon lick the grease from his hands while George, still with his fork and knife in hand, looked at them with disgust. He himself looked like an absolute idiot with his dress pants and the paper towel tucked in front of his button up shirt and Max was sure that Lando was doing this purposely to piss him off the way he was staring right back at George.

Max couldn’t help but burst out with an uncontrollable giggle and everyone’s head turned to him. Lovely.

"That is disgusting, Lando.", George ignored it and suddenly Lando was at his feet, jumping on him, trying to get his slobbery-grease-hands in his face. George shrieked and tried to hide behind Alex on the couch which turned out to be increasingly difficult with his long limbs and soon Alex was buried beneath them, Piñon barking excitedly at the mess of bodies.

This time everyone laughed. Daniel leaned into Max's side, laughing high pitched and weird. His entire body started to tingle. Daniel’s eyes were still soft, the hard edges disappearing completely and Max dared to lean back. It was just…nice.

"Your friends are like school kids.", he eventually rasped out, cringing at his own lisp, but Daniel just grinned back easily.

"They’re family.", Daniel shrugged. And then completely out of nowhere and so matter of factly: "I like it when you laugh, Maxy."
