- Yeah, the JPN was exactly as non-specific and non-graphic about her death (“やられちまったんだ”), so “was done in” is a p appropriate translation. Strangely enough, French version doesn’t quite state that she’s dead, though! It just says the UB “attacked” her (“s’en est prise à notre troisième équipière”), that it was a “tragedy”, and refers to her in past tense, so it’s easy to guess, but not at all as clear-cut and definitive as the JPN or ENG scripts. You could easily make a case that she was just heavily injured and had to retire, but survived. Shroedinger’s FR Faller.)

- “Faller” is “Imprégné(e)” in FR, meaning “infused”/“bathed”/“permeated”, referring to how the Ultra Wormhole energy/scent sticks to those people. I really have no idea why they went with that instead of something like “Tombé(e)”... (... Ok, a literal translation from “Faller” would have been “Tombeur/Tombeuse”, but that’s slang for someone who really gets around so I see why they didn’t go with that.) 

- Looker calls Anabel (”Cathy” in FR) “Cathy-chef” in FR, and ボス in JPN. As in, the same “boss” that the evil bosses are referred as. That’s. Kinda cute.

- JPN!Nanu refers to himself as “oji-san” btw.

- Both FR!Nanu and FR!Looker are constantly SUPER BITTER AND OUTRIGHT INSULTING about Interpol, it’s beautiful. FR!Nanu is a gift. (I can’t say in JPN.)

- Also they sound pretty married. Nanu’s “This halfhearted fool here” is "Ce gros tendre” (“This big softie”) in FR, which is... honestly, kinda dere and cute.

- I burst out laughing upon finding out that Looker’s ENG codename is “100kr” (this loser??), and Nanu’s “000” is pretty cool (also, the same as his JPN one, although Looker’s is goroawase for his Japanese name — “836” for “Han-sa-mu”), but I had completely forgotten about their FR codenames and they are absolutely amazing.

Nanu is “Danh” in FR, so he gets an anagram... “Agent Hand”. No explanation given.
