@malarthlo5: LOL given that they stretch one day for like... 3 episodes (on average)... expect this nonsense to last until end of the month AT LEAST. today his lens will fall out... let’s say anika will continue to find fake!shivaay shaaaady for the next week... maybe by next saturday, she’ll be sure it isn’t real!shivaay. then a week while she tries to convince people/find proof that the randhawas are behind this/save him.

They did indeed, @labibalife! Well I don’t remember if Mrs. Kapoor ever referred to Romi by name or not, but there certainly were three little girls in the flashback. 

Pfffft, the writers of this show are just as confused as the rest of us, as to why Romi is still in this damn show. At this point, they’re just ghusaoing her into random contrived relations to the Oberois. Wait a month or so, they might even try to pass her off as Anika’s long lost sister, Chutki. 

Hahaha....I love your recaps! I recently started following ishqbaz and totally agree with your views! Only thing I think is that shivaay is so outraged over anika sleeping with daksh is more about the money she supposedly took from him. In the start time and again he tried to buy anika off (not for sex but otherwise!) but she never budged! So there was a grudging respect there that he developed for her over the period! Which got shattered after listening to daksh!

My thoughts/rationalizations on Shivaay and the sex v/s financial aspect of the whole situation can be found over here. While yes, the money does play an important part in his rage over the issue, the real betrayal he feels is definitely over the sex he thinks Anika had.

I’m sure the writers, would protest of course, saying that that did this to fuel Tia’s hatred against Anika, and that it serves as a springboard for her to go max!evil, but the fact of the matter is, this is exactly what they did. They’ve always had too many characters in this show than they knew what to do with, plot-wise, and thus, people are just either dropping dead outta nowhere (Dobin, Gayatri), or plain disappearing into thin air with no explanation whatsoever (Ishana, Roop, Svetlana.) 🙄🙄🙄

My greatest fear is that this nonsense will eventually find its way into the core cast and the characters of Omkara and Rudra will suffer the same fates,due to the actors’ dissatisfaction with being sidelined. 😬😬😬

I hope the story will not go a path in which they will justify what shivaay did on the misunderstandings he had about anika. Shivaay thinking this wrong things is not so bad. There can be characters with very negative traits even as leads. The story justifying shivaay is very bad. They need to make it clear to me, the viewer, that the message is forcing a girl to marry you is awful EVEN IF the girl is cheap/sleeping around for money/whatevs. At this point I wish Anika did sleep around.

I completely agree with you that *even if* Anika did have sex, as long as it was consensual, she’s justified to do it for whatever reason she chooses; money, love, because she was feeling like having sex, whatever. What Shivaay did to her is unjustifiable, despite her sexual life. 

Let’s grasp at straws and say Shivaay prizes fidelity highly, and is thus upset she slept with Daksh. Even so he’s wrong because: 

It’s hypocritical as fuck for him to judge her on her sexual activity, when he himself has a relationship with Tia where they’ve clearly been intimate; so what right does he even have to feel “betrayed”? 

Ok, let’s say he hasn’t had sex with Tia after Anika came into his life. Even so, he has never told Anika that he loves her. In fact he’s gone out of his way to demonstrate the very opposite to her at every given opportunity. They’re not in any kind of relationship where he *can* expect fidelity from her. (Unless he thinks she’s a Legilimens or something… which again, his fault for assuming.) 

They’re already showing us that Shivaay justifies what he did because of family izzat and “betrayal” feelings. The family has reacted with appropriate horror and told him that what he did actually brought shame to them, but he still brought it up today to justify himself to Anika, and didn’t like being reminded that what he did was wrong. So that’s one ongoing thing. What’s left is dealing with his feelings of betrayal, which will kick in when Daksh comes back. 

I hate this emphasis on Anika’s sexual life nonsense as much as you do, but alas, this is desi tv. They’re cleaaaaaaaarly trying to sell the show to the sanskaari aunties, which is why the show is suddenly so heavy on mangalsutra-phere-suhaag-sanskaar nonsense these days. Anika not having slept with Daksh *will* be majorly played up, and the most pivotal point that leads to Shivaay’s guilt trip and his “redemption” track. (Unless they do a ripoff of IPK and put Shivaay/Anika in a life-threatening situation, where he decides his love for her is more important than her alleged infidelity…)

I have a feeling that this was a last-minute ghusaao’ed plotline too! On one hand, I’m kinda happy that the producers are paying attention to the viewers and responding to the rightly-deserved backlash that this plot got. It was an awful, awful, AWFUL plot, and I’m happy that at least a certain portion of the audience reacted with the horror and dismay that it deserved, and they voiced their opinions loud enough for the producers to listen and write something like this. Albeit, after attempting lots of bullshit “justification”: (1), (2)

I’m still not fully convinced that he’s D se Dobin. D se Daksh still gives me the michmichis and I don’t see him as a real threat to Shivika. Like if they had him on the show for a couple of weeks and we saw his feelings develop instead of coming off as a creep/stalker/emotional blackmailer then maybe I could have believed him as a threat instead of just a threat to my beloved Annika.

I wouldn’t be so sure that Robin is Dobin, if they hadn’t focused and made a such big deal of his reaction at the sangeet via that scene w/ Rudra. Since they drew our attention to his totally non-bhai-like gloominess, I’m 100% sure now. 😀😀😀
