HOW is there only ONE Tankard fic on AO3 ... and NO Tankard/George Warleggan fics?

Is no one else seeing what I’m seeing there? *evil plot-bunny grin* The dandified boxing lessons in stack heels; George’s creepily supplicating but not remotely humble henchman/proxy. IMO it makes so much more sense than anything Ross/George, especially bearing in mind the many and escalating class-war/social-justice/ruthless-banker/loan-shark/evils-of-18thC-enclosure impediments to THAT. So, where’s the fic, heh?

They know part of the past and part of the future and is the one to talk about destiny, but they're not allowed to take part in the story, only watch.

So 2 nights ago, I tried writing. And to my surprise, the second half of the fic actually mostly got written. (well, it was easier to start from the middle than the beginning....). And even more surprisingly, I felt I could make it public without feeling totally lame and/or embarrassed.

It looks like I might actually get something decent written for RivaMika week. *is shocked* I guess I have to thank the plot-bunny that is digging around in my brain and demanding that this story be given life... *cue maniac laughter*

I will be posting for the prompt "Red" for Oct 15. That is, as long as my courage doesn't fail me...

Like you mention one in the team going off and answering the phone and then is never mentioned or seen again. They all just fade out and in the beginning it should be hard to notice because you always concentrate on the core group, but then they start to go away too, and the characters themselves never notice anything.

And in the end the main-character is the only one left.

character A is a poet (or at least artist of some sort) with a self-destructive streak so he tends to take drugs in general, especially absinthe (oh yeah reminds me i already decided on setting it some time 19th century paris) and begins to talk with an hallucination he gets due to the absinthe and grows really fond of them aka falls in love but... well you'll see when i say the pairings how falling in love works with them, not being aware that they're just a hallucination also he dies but everyone seems to in my fics lately so that's just a side-note (i just realised i could make them meet the hallucination when they leave their flat again because they actually live close together or person B works there or something (you know that part where all the faces you dream of are actually of people you met on the street) but idk idc it's just the alternative ending so emmi won't hit me when we meet the next time)

and yes i actually planned that for FrUK, Francis being the artist and Arthur the hallucination (because self-destructive!Francis is a highly underrated thing and i love to hurt my babies as much as i hate other people hurting them) but today i realised how brilliantly that might work for exR (R being the poet or rather painter i suppose and e being the hallucination though i doubt anyone needed clarification)

the pro thing about FrUK would be that Arthur's arrogance and sarcasm (aren't hard to imagine for me since we share them) but also can make him more mysterious when used right and he's far more lascivous than e plus he has green eyes and that entire fairy-deal ("the green fairy" u kno da story) also that version of Francis isn't as "worn-down" as the entire R-deal (which is part of his character i suppose but you get the point) also i'm just far more familiar with their personalities and certain shades of said personalities i could stress having been hetalian for almost 2 1/2 years but in the les-mis-fandom for mere three months (and not even being at that part in the book but don't mind me)

pro about exR would be that it'd take R's self- and world-hatred into account, making e the perfection humanity could achieve as well as himself since he'd just be a figment of his imagination and R therefore has the potential to creat something as grand (no pun intended) as e be it changing himself in that direction or changing someone else into him through support

the FrUK-version rather focuses on Francis' need to love someone more profound than his affairs which i doubt him to make just to torture the poor girls or just to use them but it's not this deep love but more an affect than actual deep emotion maybe exactly because he can't start anything physical while the exR-version would focus on R's longing for goodness, purity and so on because of his disgust with himself and the world and also the circles he serves as in sells his works to though the problem is that e has absolutely nothing to do with the colour green while it's p much arthur's colour-code (on the other hand, e's colour is red, the complementary colour to green maybe as in a little wave from his subconsciousness "if you'd just stop drinking this fucking stuff you could be/find someone like that" which'd give us e as saviour pulling R from the swamp he's stumbled into and arthur as "siren" leading francis into his doom)

writing all this down actually strengthened the idea of just writing the same plot down twice but with both pairings, francis getting the bad ending (suffocating on his own vomit after having fallen asleep drunk) while R gets the happy one (getting off his ass and out of his flat and meeting a fierce young god (or maybe even stumbling into a certain café who knows)) but yes feedback would still be greatly appreciated (who am i even trying to kid, as if i'd ever get off my own ass and write this down on the other hand, stranger things have happened and you have a lot of time in finnish forrests)
