Merlin's Academy for Magic was a world-renowned wizarding University with roots that went back as far as the 1800's. Magic was not known to the muggles of the world, and the University was around long enough to withstand two major Wizarding Wars.
Life was good, until one day it wasn't.
The groundskeeper found him, strung by his neck in the forests that surrounded the school property, the acromantula had already gotten to his body. WILLIAM TOEWS was dead. His lifeless body made it look like an accident, but then more bodies started popping up. No one would have thought that there was anything more than a simple murderous spree by a bunch of acromantula preying on the innocent students that were breaking the rules...but one notable similarity made it click back into place, a fear that had once seemed eradicated rushing through the bodies of every student and parent.
Every victim was a muggleborn.
They called themselves THE ABOLOTION, a modern-day group of Dark Wizards that are trying to bring back the beliefs of the Dark Lord himself. While following Voldemort was deemed illegal and every known follower imprisoned after the second wizarding war...some followers lingered, and others wanted revenge.
They believed that killing mudbloods would bring peace and order back to the wizarding world, and almost over night this cult-like following began. Whispers in the night, those with Pure Blood wanted to reign over those that they deemed lesser, and history was on the brink of repeating itself.
Just like that, a resistance group, THE RETRIBUTION was formed. The Order of the Phoenix was too flawed, too well known....they needed to disguise themselves. The world was worried about another war breaking out, while Merlin's Academy focused on getting their students through their studies without dying. Curfew's were set...spells were cast
