UPDATED THEORY: I think that sticking to the book and having Emily be pregnant would’ve been the most interesting route; but I think with the syringes she’s using, it’s something else. I think she can be an egg donor or a human tester for medication.

Emily mentioned that she lost her scholarship. Because of this, I don’t think she’s at school anymore because she can’t afford it. I think she’s bar tending and stashing cash in order to continue her education. It’s still not enough though, so she decides to donate her time for compensation for medical purposes.

Egg donor would make sense because it’s pays a lot (around $8,000). It’s a long process (months) and you need to take syringe and pills leading up to the extraction date. Then the extraction is extremely painful- so I hear.

As a self-proclaimed PLL super fan, I feel like a blog post was bound to happen regarding this 5 year jump that just took place.  And so... my recap/thoughts begin....

Episode 2 mysteries:

1. Sara Harvey was in the hospital for something at the end of season 5, but we still have no clue what happened to her hands...

2. What kind of cancer does Emily have & why doesn’t she just tell everyone?!?

3. Why was Sara Harvey at the cemetery by herself?

4. Who killed Charlotte (if she’s really dead)?

5. DID SPENCER AND CALEB HOOK UP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

6. Did Ezra have anything to do with Charlotte’s death (is she’s even dead)?

Predictions:

1. Sara Harvey is pulling a Jenna.  My guess is that the bomb in season 5 messed up her hands.  The entire funeral scene in season 6, episode 1 was a flashback to Ali’s funeral.  There may be a correlation.

2. I’m hoping Emily’s "illness” is totally treatable & I foresee this being something a new “A” holds against her...ex...Do this or everyone will find out about your sickness.  

3. When Sara Harvey was at the cemetery, it made think that she and Emily may have had contact during the 5 years between season 5 and 6... Does Sara know why Emily is sick?

4.  A) If she’s dead, I think Mrs. D may have killed her (I bet she isn’t really     dead).  

     B) If Charlotte isn’t dead, Sara knows it & is making keeping tabs on everyone.

5. They totally hooked up.  The way Spencer described that meet cute in Madrid was like she stepped onto a cloud and into dream she didn’t know existed.

6. The Ezra storyline is too obvious to me.  I think Aria knows how fragile a state Ezra is in, due to his girlfriend’s death, & is trying to help him now look guilty.  We all know in PLL, this only makes one look MORE guilty....

Also, I don’t put it past spencer to have hooked up with Caleb. She’s had a shady history with other people’s boyfriends. Though, I don’t think it was ill intended.

Why do I feel like Ezra’s new girlfriend is going to reappear as soon as Aria and him get back together (if they do)? She is only missing…not necessarily dead.

Toby building a house gave me flashbacks to the Notebook.

Charles- Caleb Red coat- Paige Black veil- Mona or Maya

Charles- Toby Red coat- Sara Harvey Black veil- Bethany young?

I don’t think Charles is Uber A like everyone thinks, or like Marlene says. I think Marlene is a little liar. I think when we get back from the time jump, we’re going to see it play out where we find out which one of the liars is Uber A.
