I feel very frustrated by the minecraft fanbase lately. It just feels like the toxicity level towards the developers is worse than ever before.
The updates are too small, the updates are not minecrafty enough, they should focus on optimising the game and technical changes, what do you mean todays snapshot was all technical, why is there little gameplay features? Why are we changing back-end so much it's such a hassle to update mods and datapacks!!
Where's developer communication? oh Jens is answering questions on Bluesky? Let's treat his every statement as fact and start crying about mojang removing crafting system (because that's what Jens brought up. once. and got shut down by the rest of the team. end of story).
Another dev says "yeah I would like to see an end update"? End update is coming, guys! And we're going to whine and scream if it doesn't

I just want to play a fun block game and draw stupid villagers, but this sentiment is not shared within the wider community. It's absolutely exhausting, to the point I want to coop up in my small singleplayer world and never interact with anyone ever again
If you dislike minecraft's direction, play older versions. there are communities around old versions. they're still fun to play
play other games. terraria is good. i like terraria. it's fun. it scratches my combat itch. there's also hytale. go play hytale. i heard good things about vintage story. go play other games. go play bits&bops. it's a fun rhythm game. please. playing with different toys is good for you
