Finn had boundless energy to spend and often foraged when everyone else was asleep. The night before the finals he met Matias by the pharmacy, the friendgroup's "nemesis".

Matias: "So I take it after graduation you guys will move back to Detroit?"

Finn: "You wish, huh? Nah, no chance. While we will be free again, the court still requires us to raise those 700,00 PD. Before we haven't managed that, we must not leave Melino."

Finn had expected Matias to scoff now, but instead he smiled. It was the first time any of them had seen Matias smile. The very first.

Matias: "What if you take your time and just don't pay?"

Finn: "Then we'll die indebted and haunt you! Boooo!"

Daniel was a regular at the General Store, picking up the daily recipes and the bargain (that he then sold for full price, but, psst). Nobody batted an eye when he walked up the stairs into the owners' apartment together with his boyfriend. Up there he dropped his jacket... shoes...

Daniel: "Much nicer than our construction worker housing, isn't it? Let this be our revenge!"

Daniel: "How strange... We were noisier than I had expected, yet nobody came looking..."

Tina: "Hey, Skyriver losers! Look who earned her white jacket! Just one more quest and I'm a free girl again!"

Finn: "Yeah, right, go on playing their game, you model citizen..."

Daniel: "Can you please beat Tina? Even if it means "playing their game". Even if she is on my team and you are a former enemy. You're a good man, Poe Dameron. Seeing you get released first would restore my faith a little."

While studying for their promotions, Rose and Armitage exchanged convos that were difficult to interpret platonically.

Two of the cops dragged Finn away, the third dropped a bag of clothes in front of the shaken Daniel, ordering him to dress up. But they weren't his blue jumpsuit and track pants. For their refusal to work that day both youths got demoted by one color.

Meanwhile at the hospital Finn got informed that starting tomorrow he'd get paid a surgeon's salary - the highest wage in this household so far.

Unlike the juvenile court, the people of Melino had seen the better sides of the young convicts, so they were willing to help them in any way they could. Even if that meant labeling an eightteen year old assistant in the anesthesics room a "surgeon".

And so, while one boy sat on the cold tiled floor crying, feeling all alone in the world, the other experienced nothing but support.

Priorities!

Five minutes till work, but Finn and Daniel had rolled rolled a want for intimacy and unlocked it by talking about potential parenthood, so work would have to wait.

Except... The game auto-canceled the interaction before they could fully submerge.

Since it was an outside interference, in the context of the story that means Finn's absence was noted and the cops came over to pull the blanket off the two youths while they were messing around.

Finn's job... he wasn't even a real doctor, just a system engineer at the hospital! Finn didn't go (or, today, was getting dragged) to work to treat patients, but to earn the money for the damn community center!
