Not to say that magic arrays can't be drawn freehand (they totally can!) BUT, I so so wish more fantasy fiction would include stuff like this and drafting compasses in-story by characters. It's so much faster and more accurate? (Takes seconds over minutes,)
#please...........#consider some geometry tools#idk what to tag this as#lol i woke up thinking about it this morning - as someone who has had to use a lot of (thankfully digital) tools when using GIS and mapping#(and absolutely no shade to WHA i absolutely love the series and it's beautiful)#(and if the witches prefer to pride themselves on perfecting their freehand drawing of perfect circles - then good for them)#i'm sure there are plenty of arguments about this lol but i just couldn't stop thinking about it this morning#and what types of tools certain magic users might use
