I so badly want there to be a moment where Daeron finally uses his status as Prince/King to check Ormund. It doesn’t even have to be something big or obvious, but Ormund keeps making a point to call Daeron ‘Your Grace’ and they have consistently shown that people do address Daeron first whenever they have an audience with Ormund—even prior to him styling Daeron as king.
It’s certainly an interesting dynamic because although Ormund is the one commanding the room he is technically not the highest rank. We have even seen Daeron use his station already, when he commanded Jon Roxton to stop his attack on Gwayne during the assasination attempt, showing to the audience that his word does override Ormund’s in the eyes of their supporters.
