 I’m pretty sure I started in May so that’s a little over three. It was certainly a journey; I must thank my beta she was an angel, and I went through my fair share of blocks and “why the hell am I doing this?” but I got through it and I’m so proud I did. I want to thank you, the people who organize the Supernova so much. I would not have had this amazing opportunity without you. I can’t wait to participate in the next one (if there is one!). Thank you, seriously.”

What inspired your story?

I’ve always been a fan of High School AUs since I find teen characters speak to me more, and inspire me. I don’t remember my initial inspiration but it possibly would have been a photo or a one-line prompt I loved and turned into a whole story.

Let's get deep: why do you write?

Gosh, um, I write because I love it. I adore writing. I’ve always loved English, from a very young age, and I enjoy reading and writing immensely. Creative writing is obviously my favourite, though I like writing essays which is probably very sad *laughs* Anyway, writing is a hobby, yes.

Do you ever have conversations with your characters, and talk back to them?

Yes, I have long conversations with my characters

What is your favorite type of writing to do?

Angst, definitely angst. I can write fluff sometimes but it will most certainly channel into angst. I can’t help it! I mostly write one shots that will never see the light of day, but I write multi chapters just the same.

If you could live out one scene of your writing what would it be? Conversely, has any of your fiction writing been inspired by true life events?

Kissing Regina Mills, I’d definitely live out that! And also yes, sometimes the characters feelings have been taken from my own, or the odd line that’s been said in my life. I’ll pull from my own experiences with bullying if I’m writing about that.

How do you shape your characters?

I try to plan, and write a detailed storyline of what I want to happen, and then I shape the characters around the events. I try to keep the characters as true to their selves in the show, so I guess they all have underlying personalities under the ones I provide. If I’m stuck, I’ll let the characters speak to me, push me in the direction they want to go in. And then usually I’ll have a moment of inspiration and write!
