I stand by it being the weakest to date. It is still boss, but blatantly under construction still and I'm convinced that "accidental" announcement from that WB exec speech or whatever it was wasn't accidental at all. Blatantly putting pressure on NRS to release before they were ready imo. But we'll never know.

The big change this time around is the kameo system. I'm not keen on it. Finding a kombo where you can actually use them to add some spice to it is reeeally satisfying but those moments are a bit too few and far between. A more complex moveset for each fighter would have been a better use of their time, especially when a lot of them still play a little bit basic.

Invasions is essentially just a series of random fights with pretty backgrounds and some konsumables. It's fine. I preferred being able to cycle through 11's Towers of Time browsing what was new, character towers etc., and of course the Krypt, but I understand it needs to change. Can't just repeat yourself forever. I do like the little one shot storylines they have going on each season and the themed skins though. I also like the elemental damage spin they added and how it encourages you not to just steam through the whole thing on your main, it gives you a nudge to mix it up.

Story is flawless. Fucking love it, they hit the restart button perfectly and the world/character changes are superb. No complaints there at all, looking forward to the expansion.

The store is the most predatory to date. Okay, kosmetics being paywalled... cheeky as fuck, not really on in a game that cost full price, but okay. Warner Bros etc.. But fatalities?! Announcers?! Absolutely outrageous and it's crossed the line. Either make it free to play and have all that nonsense or make everything unlockable in game. They know we all hate this, they're just banking on some edge lord getting a hold of his mum's credit card. There's just no fucking need. So unrelentingly greedy.
