Attendees will be seated comfortably on cushions or blankets. 4) While mediums traditionally wear suits or semi-formal dresses for platform events, I will be dressed in a more relaxed manner and most likely barefoot! As a medium it is imperative to connect with your soul, the spirit world and even nature! When we are connected the information flows. When there is no flow, there is the possibility of what is called in the industry, "snatching." What is that? It is when we try to make information give to us by spirit fit and make sense. It is when we get a "no" from the recipient, our conscious mind kicks in, we try to make it a yes. For example, the medium may hear the name Mary. Yet the recipient cannot a Mary. So the medium doubts what she heard from spirit and then offers another similar name such as Maryanne. The Mary have actually existed and the sitter may not have just remembered in that moment. It turns into second guessing the spirit world. This can alter trust between the medium and the spirit world. As a result, it can be harder for the medium to continue the link (connection) during the reading. When you are focused on trying to make things fit, you are not actually being present and hearing spirit. The conscious is being focused on the yes or no. Yet when you are connecting with Spirit there is no need to receive that validation. You know what the spirit world has told you as the medium to be true. That is when you are in and stay in the flow.
