Truest!!!!! Let me tell you a story A client 👵wanted me to do a wedding decor for 250 guests for N150k. Turned out her guests were above 500. She requested for two extra canopies I was unaware of. On the day of the wedding, she started asking other items to be included in the arrangement, giving us extra work and incurring additional costs separate from those in the initial agreement just because she attended a wedding (also done by us) a week before and was impressed by the array of decor accessories used. I tried explaining the rates were different , she was insisting that since those items belonged to us, and if we wanted her as customer, there wasno need charging for the items (like we don't have to maintain these items) . Eventually she Paid N100k and withheld N50k balance which I allowed to let go for peace to reign(Another lesson learnt). On the other hand, a client took me to Ilesha , paid upfront with good renumeration. I executed the brief to the best of my ability, at the point of buying and bringing more items from Ibadan just to outdo myself seeing the calibre and quality of people at the event, my client came to the venue we were setting up and gave us Thumbsup 🙌👍 praising our efforts and zeal and on spot gave me an additional cash of N50k as encouragement fund (Pardon my English). Both instances taught me to always desire and pray for the kind of clients I want to have business relationships with. The ideal client is appreciative, has defined set of goals and expectations , understands the value of time and budget. Willing to exchange ideas and ready to recommend you for a job well done.
