Additional tips from the thread:

Surrounding the enclosure to hide sight lines as in, if you have an African area behind and you want to hide that, build up a mound so you can keep it hidden from view to not break the immersion of your North American theme. You can also use the mound to form a back to that African section or whatever you have back there. Surrounding each area with a mound helps in separating themed areas and also to give certain sections a fully immersive look.

There’s a spreadsheet floating around that shows how much space an animal needs AND how much every additional animal will need. I create a habitat with null barriers first, check the size and shimmy stuff around before putting in real barriers

Guests can view about 15 meters before they start complaining, so I choose a viewpoint or two and build 3-4 floor sections out to estimate. Remember to consider whether the animal you intend to put in there needs room to hide or not. Then you can use null barrier to approximate the outline, and once you connect it, it'll tell you how large it is.

For people struggling, don't forgot you can use trees sunk all the way into the ground as a new "bush". I find it looks way better than some of the existing small foliage and using them in new ways doubles your plant potential!

To get barriers close in to your path:  Just by place it down next to the path. It glows red when you can’t place it and blue when you can so I just move it as close to the edge as possible. Play with the barrier length. Sometimes you need a smaller/larger pane to fit perfectly in the spot you want it.
